The Department of Theater and Dance is one of 67 recipients in 9 countries of the International Centre for Women Playwrights 2014 50/50 Applause Award! We received this honor because over 50% of our 2013-14 season included plays written by women. UC Santa Barbara is one of only 3 universities included on the list. As part of the award, the department has been given a six month membership to ICWP which gives us the opportunity to continue to build relationships with playwrights from around the world.
