TEMPORARY TEACHING POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF THEATER AND DANCE

The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for temporary teaching positions on an ongoing basis. Temporary appointment positions are variable in terms of percentage of time with the possibility of reappointment that is dependent upon performance and departmental needs. Applicants must possess a MFA or PHD degree, or 5 years equivalent professional experience at time of application. Equivalent professional experience for this position includes: employment as a new play dramaturg, new play director, employment as a feature film writer or television writer, work as a playwright/devisor at professional theatres, or experience teaching one of the desired areas of specialization at a non-degree granting arts training program such as the Upright Citizens Brigade or Second City Training Centers. College or University teaching experience is preferred. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.
