The Colloquia in Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies is an annual distinguished lecture and performance series that invites artists and scholars from around the world into critical conversation about dance and dancing bodies. Archived, free, and available on Live Stream, the Colloquium was inaugurated in 2014 as a Distinguished Lecture and Performance Series. An interdisciplinary Dance Institute for Scholarly and Performance Studies discourse, the UCSB Colloquium offers an intellectual and creative space for critical inquiry in the field of Dance and Performance Studies.
In addition, graduate students have several chances to present papers, projects, or presentations at colloquia organized by our grad faculty and affiliates.
