Bryan Langlitz is an actor, director, and educator based in Los Angeles, with two decades of professional experience across Broadway, Off-Broadway, national touring, and regional stages.
As a director, his work includes the world premieres of Matthew Scott Montgomery's F-Slur and Dad’s Night Out, both with IAMA Theatre Company, and the new musical Ever Will with Long Beach Shakespeare Company. His acclaimed production of 100 Saints You Should Know launched his production company, Third Route Productions, under which he is now developing a new stage adaptation of N. Richard Nash's The Rainmaker. He is a frequent collaborator with Workspace Hollywood.
Onstage, Bryan made his Broadway debut in the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Memphis, appeared Off-Broadway in The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park production of The Comedy of Errors, and headlined the North American tour of Million Dollar Quartet as Sam Phillips. He is a longtime ensemble member of IAMA Theatre Company in Los Angeles where he was most recently seen in John Lavelle’s provocative play, The Very Best People. His television credits include House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black, SMASH, CIA and The Looming Tower, among others, in addition to a robust commercial and voiceover career.
Within UC Santa Barbara’s BFA Acting program, Bryan leads classes in on-camera acting, self-taping, and audition technique. He is also a lecturer teaching Heightened Text in The University of Michigan’s world-renowned Musical Theatre Department, and as a Graduate Teaching Fellow for Loyola Marymount University. In 2023, he founded The Langlitz Studio, a private acting studio in the heart of Long Beach, CA. Bryan’s teaching centers authenticity, imagination, and courage; he has coached actors around the world toward roles in commercials, series television, and on Broadway. He is currently completing his MFA in Performance Pedagogy at Loyola Marymount University, where his work explores the intersection of directing and liberatory pedagogy. He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan.
